Sunday in the AFC North kicks off with the Browns visiting the Jets. Expect a close, low scoring, defensive battle between these two young teams, with a mistake by an offense being the deciding factor.

Baltimore travels to Denver in the season opener to take on Manning, who first year head coach Gary Kubiak intends to limit this season. Baltimore’s strength is its defensive line and Denver’s weakness is its offensive line, so the game may end up in Manning’s hands after all. Don’t look for a shootout; Baltimore’s receiving options are lackluster.

The Bengals take on an up and coming Raiders squad in Oakland. Cincinnati is the more talented team and should control the game throughout. Keep an eye on the Derek Carr-Amari Cooper connection, which has already drawn tremendous praise.

Who joins the Steelers in the basement? Who gets a key to the penthouse? Does any team just sit idly in the lobby (I’m looking at you, Bengals)? Sit back and enjoy!

Hooray, football!
