Entering The Zone Of Danger: A Draft
class="post-date-wrap left relative post-date-mob">

The Draft is right around the corner which means there is a mock draft frenzy going on. I figured I would join the fun. *Note, no trades in this as trades are difficult to predict and could happen anywhere and ruin the fun*

Tampa Bay: 1st) Jameis Winston

Bucs need a QB and they get the best QB and prospect in this draft. Winston is an Andrew Luck level prospect who can lead the Bucs back to the promised land.

Tennessee: 2nd) Leonard Williams

Titans skip Mariota and go with the best defensive player in this draft. Leonard is very similar to Richard Seymour and can move across the line and cause havoc.

 Jacksonville: 3rd) Dante Fowler

They need a pass rusher and Fowler is the best guy in the draft at that.

 Oakland: 4th) Amari Cooper

Raiders have their QB, but they need to give him weapons. Cooper is the best WR in this class and can do everything you want from a #1 guy

 Washington: 5th) Vic Beasley

Redskins improve their pass rush (hopefully) with Beasley

 J-E-T-S: 6th ) Marcus Mariota

Jets get their hopeful franchise guy. Mariota has all the tools and might be a work in progress but the Jets are an ideal spot given the talent they have.

 Chicago: 7th) Danny Shelton

Bears defense was brutal last year and they fix the interior with the Dancing Bear Danny Shelton

 Atlanta: 8th) Shane Ray

Falcons need pass rush and Ray is a good fit.

New York Football Giants: 9th) Brandon Scherff

Giants have a pretty good receiving corp and QB, now they get a valuable piece in Scherff who will help the run game and protect Eli

 St. Louis: 10th) Kevin White

Rams kind of whiffed on Tavon Austin and get their go to guy in Kevin White who can go up and get it.

 Minnesota: 11th) Trae Waynes

Vikings could use another CB, Waynes is the best in the class and can give them a true shutdown guy.

 Cleveland: 12th) Arik Armstead

Browns struggled against the run and Armstead can plug the middle.

 New Orleans: 13th) Randy Gregory

Saints need defense especially a pass rusher and Gregory fits the bill. While kind of an idiot off the field, he is a very talented pass rusher which Saints need.

 Miami: 14th) La’el Collins

Fins finish up their offensive line with Collins who could line up at either guard spots and help the run game and protect their QB.

 San Francisco: 15th) DeVante Parker

Crabtree is gone and Boldin is near the end. They got a deep threat in Torrey Smith but lack that true #1 WR who can win any matchup. Parker is that guy.

 Houston: 16th) Dorial Green-Beckham

Andre Johnson is gone and they need another starting WR as Cecil Shorts is not that. DGB can catch about everything which is good for Ryan Mallet.

San Diego Super Chargers: 17th) Todd Gurley

Chargers want to become a more power running team and there is no better back for that than Gurley.

 Kansas City: 18th) Cameron Erving

Chiefs replace one FSU center with another.

Pick Cleveland Didn’t Deserve: 19th) Breshad Perriman

Josh Gordon is gone for the year and Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline don’t scare defenses. Perriman has elite speed to take the top of the defense and has shown the ability to win some jump balls.

 Philly: 20th) Landon Collins

Eagles went hard for McCourty this offseason and need a safety for the back of the defense.

 Cincinatti: 21st) Andrus Peat

Could be their starting Right Tackle right away with the possibility of being their Left Tackle of the Future at some point.

 Pittsburgh: 22nd) Marcus Peters

Steelers need a CB and the best guy currently available is Peters. While Peters has some off the field issues, he has great talent and will help address an aging Steelers defense.

 Detroit: 23rd) Malcolm Brown

Lions need to replace either Fairley or Suh and Brown is the best choice.

 Arizona: 24th) Bud Dupree

You can never have enough pass rushers and Dupree is a solid pass rusher.

 Carolina: 25th) Erek Flowers

Panthers need offensive line help and Flowers is the best tackle available.

 Baltimore: 26th) Jalen Strong

Ravens need a replacement for Torrey Smith and Strong is a big bodied guy who can go up and get it.

 Dallas: 27th) Kevin Johnson

Many think Cowboys replace Murray 1st but CB is an even bigger need for Cowboys which is why Kevin Johnson is the choice.

 Denver: 28th) AJ Cann

Orlando Franklin is now gone and they need a starting guard to protect Manning and help in the run game.

 Indy: 29th) Jordan Phillips

The Colts struggle to stop the run, Phillips is a really good Nose Tackle who can plug the middle.

 Green Bay: 30th) Shaq Thompson

Versatile player that can help the Packers on defense and let Clay Matthews focus on the only thing he is good at.

 New Orleans: 31st) Phillip Dorsett

Stills is gone and Sean Payton is reportedly gushing about Dorsett and how he fits the offense.

 New England: 32nd) Eddie Goldman

Wilfork is gone and they replace him with Goldman who is dominant against the run and potential as a pass rusher. Plus he didn’t go to UF.
