Following the release of NFL and Pro Football Hall of Fame's All-Decade Team of the 2010s, here is PFF’s All-Decade team. We have followed the formatting we use for our All-Pro team and will be simplifying matters by giving a first and second team.
Jeff Ratcliffe kicks things off with breaking news: The 2020 NFL Draft will be conducted entirely virtually. So which GM will commit the fantasy sin of trying to draft a player who has already been drafted? Plus, Jeff digs into the PFF fantasy football projections for the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The first batch of PFF 2020 fantasy football projections for the Carolina Panthers don’t view Teddy Bridgewater as a fantasy factor. But there should be enough volume to support Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore.
Although many fans of the Los Angeles Rams are unhappy with the new logos and colors unveiled last month, Kevin Demoff, the team's chief operating officer, wrote on social media that there are no plans to make any changes.
The NFL already has announced a virtual draft. Virtual offseason programs seem a certainty, too. As offseason programs were set to begin Monday for the five teams with new head coaches, the NFL and NFLPA still are trying to figure out how to proceed with team facilities closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A virtual […]
The Falcons announced the addition of running back Todd Gurley on Monday, even though a physical is pending. The certainty is Gurley’s time with the Rams is done. Rams coach Sean McVay wouldn’t go into detail Monday about why the team decided to move on from Gurley, saying only that it was more than one […]
Texans linebacker Dylan Cole is coming back from another injury, but he’s doing it for the Texans. Via the league’s transaction wire, the restricted free agent linebacker has signed his tender offer of $2.144 million. Cole tore his ACL in Week 12, so he’s still got some rehabbing to do. He missed the first half […]
The 49ers tendered wide receiver Kendrick Bourne as a restricted free agent last month and Bourne won’t be looking for a deal with another team. Field Yates of ESPN reports that Bourne has signed his tender with the team. Bourne was tendered at the second-round level, which sets him up to make $3.27 million this […]
The network wars are taking more and more aggressive steps to recruit soldiers. Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reports that three networks are chasing Saints quarterback Drew Brees, even though he will be playing at least one more season. ESPN, FOX, and NBC all want Brees, Marchand writes. Brees reportedly has told network […]
The Ravens used a pair of early round picks on wide receivers in last year’s draft, but it doesn’t sound like the additions of Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin are going to keep them from addressing that spot early in this year’s draft. Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta said he likes the makeup of the […]
Linebacker Vince Biegel won’t be leaving the Dolphins as a restricted free agent. The Dolphins announced on Monday that Biegel has signed the tender they gave him earlier this year. It’s an original-round tender, which means Biegel will make $2.132 million during the 2020 season. Biegel was a Packers fourth-round pick in 2017 and played […]
General Manager Brandon Beane said last week the Bills would watch Stefon Diggs‘ highlights when the Vikings went on the clock with the first-round choice Buffalo traded for the receiver. On Monday, Beane said Diggs is more of a sure thing than anybody in the draft. Even though the 2020 draft appears stocked with talented […]
On Monday, the NFL made the right decision to require all teams to conduct the 2020 draft from home. Implicit in the memo from Commissioner Roger Goodell regarding the decision is, necessarily, a decision from Goodell that he’ll be staying at home, too. Although Goodell doesn’t come out and say it, the memo necessarily eliminates […]
Broncos linebacker Von Miller wasn’t the happiest of campers as the team slumped toward its third-straight losing season last December, but his outlook is considerably brighter right now. The Broncos have traded for defensive tackle Jurrell Casey and cornerback A.J. Bouye since the start of the new league year and they’ve also signed guard Graham […]
The NFL’s all-decade team for the 2010s, released today, did not include any fullbacks. One of the best fullbacks in the league is not happy about that. San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk saw the all-decade team and sarcastically tweeted, “I guess no fullbacks played this decade.” Fullbacks did, of course, play this decade, but […]
Eventually, ESPN (or ABC) will make a big-splash hire for Monday Night Football. Until then, ESPN needs a crew to work the games. Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reports that a three-man weave of Steve Levy, former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky (pictured), and former NFL defensive back/personnel executive Louis Riddick have emerged as […]
For position players, making the first team of an all-decade team virtually guaranteed entry into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Only six first-team players off the previous all-decade teams are not in the Hall of Fame, excluding specialists and those yet to become eligible, according to Rick Gosselin of Talk of Fame Network. (Tom […]
There have been major changes to the Panthers since the end of the 2019 season as the change in coaches from Ron Rivera to Matt Rhule has been joined by the departures of players like Mario Addison, James Bradberry, Luke Kuechly, Cam Newton, Greg Olsen and Trai Turner. One of the stars still left on […]
The Falcons have finally said their deal with Todd Gurley is done. Even though it isn’t really done. The team announced this afternoon that they had agreed to terms with the former Rams running back. Deals aren’t official until a player passes a physical, and Gurley can’t do that with Falcons doctors at the moment […]
The NFL told teams last week that they were deciding between allowing small gatherings of club personnel to work together during the draft or requiring everyone to work from their homes by themselves. The league announced its ruling on Monday. In a memo delivered to all teams and obtained by PFT, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell […]
Carl Davis won’t be eligible to play the first four games this season, but the Jaguars brought him back anyway. The team announced that the veteran defensive tackle has been re-signed. He was suspended in February for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy, but can participate in whatever version of offseason, training camp and preseason […]
Tom Brady has taken to the written word in order to expand on his decision to join the Buccaneers as a free agent this offseason. In a piece for The Players Tribune, which was founded by Brady’s Tampa landlord Derek Jeter, Brady wrote that he “wouldn’t change anything” about his 20 years with the Patriots. […]
It seems unlikely there will be anything resembling a normal offseason program for any team. But if the Steelers would have had one, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger would have been a part of it. The veteran quarterback told Ed Bouchette of TheAthletic.com that he would have been on the field in May, at least in some […]
Add another accomplishment to Tom Brady‘s legendary career: First quarterback ever named to two all-decade teams. Brady was a unanimous choice for the 2010s all-decade team, which was his second honor after also making the 2000s all-decade team. Among those joining Brady on both the 2010s all-decade team and the 2000s all-decade team were Bill […]
