It is already over in New England.
I read an amazing article the other day on AFCENews.com. Tommy has 100 more wins than losses for the Patriots. Unbelievable. No one even in sight of catching him. He just has to stay above .500 now. No Problemo. Easily one of the best QBs ever. I would love to see a game where both he and Tanny play great just to see.
You realize they can only be meaningful if BOTH QBs win occasionally?
Enough about my sad Dolphins dreams. Ok, I lied. This is the article that will that I pray we can agree on, as a moment of recognition, well deserved, then we can all collectively go back to pulling our luxurious, imaginary beards, and figure out a way to beat the Pats.
Threw you, didn’t I?
For this fan, for as little as I may know, for as much NFL as I have watched, it is over in New England. They never have to win another game for me to be certain that they are the greatest football dynasty ever.
You heard me. Greatest NFL football dynasty in everness.
Questions?
Yes, Peter Sellers was the funniest guy since Fields and The Cleveland Browns were the best/most dominant team ever. Brilliant innovative coach+, immortal Otto with gobs of titles, and the country’s best lacrosse player.
Name another dynasty QB/coach that has rebuilt itself back to the SB? Add in the modern era of FA for difficulty. Could their narrow defeats have been narrower?
Nah. 100 games over .500 is Mind-numbingly awesome, but it is an individual accomplishment. Guys like shiny things too. hint, hint. Even jewelry.
We could go on forever about how the double punch of success rained down from the highest level of ownership. We can snort at the loaded Browns staff, (There’s that team again.) BB the Impaler assembled there. His day with the ineffably grounded Jets. Chortle voluminously at “Even Dark Lord Belichick mirthfully gargling that he too, missed on Tom for 5 rounds. ” Laugh mightily at one of the greatest football drives ever to give a NE kicker, (coincidentally), another “Shot heard ’round the world.” Roar, with happiness as only a kid who grey up in NYC can, for a beloved Revolutionary war city as it unleashes titles in every other major sport.
NYC bay have been the first capital of the US, but, it is my wont (Cosell-ism), to say, we wouldn’t have a country, if it weren’t for the Patriots of NE. We fight as only brothers can. But a Chinese warship towards Boston harbor. There wont be a person left in New York State. Tap, tap, tap, “Where do you want us, brothers?”
Enjoy every second of it, I don’t think it has ever happened before. Not even to the 2 undefeated Chicago teams in the 30’s…well close. FA again.
This will make any Dolphins win the coolest beans. But, we are, already, as fans, witnesses to history.
Salute, NE!
Now back to my beard…
Sincerely, Football Fan.
Deep breaths. I still don’t know what a Mike LB is, a halfback from a tailback; the plays I know by name are, run to the right, run to the left, throw the ball at a guy, Kick it high in the air, and the venerable, kick it

Deep breaths. I still don’t know what a Mike LB is, a halfback from a tailback; the plays I know by name are, run to the right, run to the left, throw the ball at a guy, Kick it high in the air, and the venerable, kick it above the big H.
Tell me I’m wrong about this though…

When the Browns gave a five-year, $230 million, fully-guaranteed contract to quarterback Deshaun Watson, they surely didn’t intend to throw a wrench in the relationship between the Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson. But they did. (Browns fans regard that as a collateral benefit.) In hindsight, why wouldn’t Watson’s deal create an issue between the Ravens […]
