It is already over in New England.
I read an amazing article the other day on AFCENews.com. Tommy has 100 more wins than losses for the Patriots. Unbelievable. No one even in sight of catching him. He just has to stay above .500 now. No Problemo. Easily one of the best QBs ever. I would love to see a game where both he and Tanny play great just to see.
You realize they can only be meaningful if BOTH QBs win occasionally?
Enough about my sad Dolphins dreams. Ok, I lied. This is the article that will that I pray we can agree on, as a moment of recognition, well deserved, then we can all collectively go back to pulling our luxurious, imaginary beards, and figure out a way to beat the Pats.
Threw you, didn’t I?
For this fan, for as little as I may know, for as much NFL as I have watched, it is over in New England. They never have to win another game for me to be certain that they are the greatest football dynasty ever.
You heard me. Greatest NFL football dynasty in everness.
Yes, Peter Sellers was the funniest guy since Fields and The Cleveland Browns were the best/most dominant team ever. Brilliant innovative coach+, immortal Otto with gobs of titles, and the country’s best lacrosse player.
Name another dynasty QB/coach that has rebuilt itself back to the SB? Add in the modern era of FA for difficulty. Could their narrow defeats have been narrower?
Nah. 100 games over .500 is Mind-numbingly awesome, but it is an individual accomplishment. Guys like shiny things too. hint, hint. Even jewelry.
We could go on forever about how the double punch of success rained down from the highest level of ownership. We can snort at the loaded Browns staff, (There’s that team again.) BB the Impaler assembled there. His day with the ineffably grounded Jets. Chortle voluminously at “Even Dark Lord Belichick mirthfully gargling that he too, missed on Tom for 5 rounds. ” Laugh mightily at one of the greatest football drives ever to give a NE kicker, (coincidentally), another “Shot heard ’round the world.” Roar, with happiness as only a kid who grey up in NYC can, for a beloved Revolutionary war city as it unleashes titles in every other major sport.
NYC bay have been the first capital of the US, but, it is my wont (Cosell-ism), to say, we wouldn’t have a country, if it weren’t for the Patriots of NE. We fight as only brothers can. But a Chinese warship towards Boston harbor. There wont be a person left in New York State. Tap, tap, tap, “Where do you want us, brothers?”
Enjoy every second of it, I don’t think it has ever happened before. Not even to the 2 undefeated Chicago teams in the 30’s…well close. FA again.
This will make any Dolphins win the coolest beans. But, we are, already, as fans, witnesses to history.
Now back to my beard…
Sincerely, Football Fan.
Deep breaths. I still don’t know what a Mike LB is, a halfback from a tailback; the plays I know by name are, run to the right, run to the left, throw the ball at a guy, Kick it high in the air, and the venerable, kick it

Deep breaths. I still don’t know what a Mike LB is, a halfback from a tailback; the plays I know by name are, run to the right, run to the left, throw the ball at a guy, Kick it high in the air, and the venerable, kick it above the big H.
Tell me I’m wrong about this though…

The potential concerns about Bryce Young seem like a much safer gamble than the very real concerns around the other QB options and their play, leaving Young the clear choice as the best quarterback in this draft class.
With NFL free agency all but complete and win totals finally hitting the betting market, it’s time to turn our attention away from the veteran quarterback news cycle and check in on the ever-growing draft prop market.
Four NFL teams have secured an additional first-round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft — the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans — and all four of them find that extra pick situated within the first 12 selections. Here is the dream scenario for each team.
President Joe Biden praised Bills safety Damar Hamlin for turning "recovery into action," saying after their meeting Thursday that Hamlin's "courage, resilience, and spirit inspired the American people."
Thirty years ago, the Bills had a Hall of Fame quarterback who led the team to four straight Super Bowl appearances. Now, the Bills have a potential Hall of Famer who hasn’t made it to a Super Bowl yet. What’s missing in Buffalo? The Hall of Fame quarterback from Buffalo has some thoughts. “Josh can’t […]

A year ago, the Falcons made a play for quarterback Deshaun Watson. This year, they’re not giving much of a thought to quarterback Lamar Jackson. Instead, second-year signal caller Desmond Ridder continues to be QB1 as the 2023 season approaches. “He won a lot of games in college and helped Luke Fickell at Cincinnati really […]
Three weeks after elbow surgery, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy says rehab is going well. Purdy said on Fox Sports 910-AM in Phoenix that his recovery is “going as planned” following his March 10 surgery. “The protocol is you start throwing at three months, but it all depends on how your therapy and your range of […]
When the Browns gave a five-year, $230 million, fully-guaranteed contract to quarterback Deshaun Watson, they surely didn’t intend to throw a wrench in the relationship between the Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson. But they did. (Browns fans regard that as a collateral benefit.) In hindsight, why wouldn’t Watson’s deal create an issue between the Ravens […]
Three years ago, the NFL dramatically reduced the potential penalties for marijuana use — but the league didn’t wipe out marijuana testing entirely. Maybe that day is coming. Via Shams Charania of TheAthletic.com, the new Collective Bargaining Agreement finalized Friday between the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association ditched marijuana from the drug-testing program, […]

The 49ers surprised many by signing former Eagles defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to a four-year, $84 million contract. But they’ll spend, selectively, to make the team better. “We are never going to be a huge spender, but I think when we do spend, we have to make sure it’s deliberate,” CEO Jed York said at […]
Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones was only officially a free agent for a few minutes before he agreed to a new contract to stay in New England. And Bill Belichick was thrilled. Belichick said that with the retirement of Devin McCourty after 13 seasons in the Patriots’ secondary, it was particularly important to keep Jones for […]
NFL owners glossed over the differences between grass and artificial playing surfaces at this week’s league meeting. But the NFL Players Association is renewing its call for grass fields. In fact, NFLPA President J.C. Tretter says that the data from 2022 makes it clearer than ever that grass is safer than artificial turf. “We got […]

The teams considering taking a quarterback in the top 10 of the draft are fairly well known at this point. Beyond that, the candidates to draft a quarterback aren’t known.
