Disaster Strikes Dolphins in 23-21 Loss to Bills

Three and O seems so long ago for the Dolphins and their fans.

After consecutive losses to the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, Miami had two weeks to prepare for the 2-4 Buffalo Bills, who started a quarterback with two career games of experience under his belt.

The deck was stacked heavily in the Dolphins’ favor. What followed was a game the Dolphins gave away to the division rival Bills in an embarrassing manner that should have the entire organization looking over its shoulder.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill made two inexcusably horrendous decisions in the game’s first half. The offensive line and, in particular, right tackle Tyson Clabo, made sure to have its inadequacy felt down the stretch, as defensive end Mario Williams made the four-quarter play that won the game for Buffalo by beating Clabo and forcing Tannehill to fumble. The defense wasn’t able to dominate a game it should have. And the product the coaching staff and front office continues to produce is clearly flawed.

The Dolphins could still save the 2013 season. But the fact that it needs saved at all after a 3-0 start has to be devastating for Miami and its fan base.
