Good afternoon everyone, just want to give you all an update on the current direction of the site and AFCe News.

Firstly, i would like to extend a thank you to all of you who have contributed in many forms and has stuck with us through the site development. I am pleased to announce that we have made a huge headway in our goal to becoming fully independent from other sites.

Recently we were awarded with Press-Passes for our respective teams. This means we can go to locker rooms, side-lines and scheduled Team Press events. We also have full use of NFL and Team logos as well as photographs, something that none of the other websites that popped up have. AFCe News is also part of the news wire so the information released to news outlets comes to us at the same time as they receive it. This means that for our teams (or the entire NFL) we are no longer in need to rely on outside sources for information and be one of the “last to know”.

I am also in contact with each of the AFC East teams Public Relations Managers working on getting live statistical information on our site through www.nflgsis.com. This is the same company that handles the stats for the Jumbotrons and tickers for media outlets and stadiums that you see on ESPN, FOX, CBS etc. (Both television and internet media). Until this information is available to us in live format i have been given access to the NFL Database where i can download all the stats compiled during or after games. If anyone has any suggestions on displaying these stats please let us know through the contact form or in the forum section.

Regarding the “Press-Passes”, if anyone is interested in representing AFCe News at team games keep in mind that although the process is quite simple i will need at least a 10 day notice to which game you will attend so i can submit the paper work and they can do a simple background check on you to allow you entry. If you would like to discuss the possibility of being a Press Representative for AFCe News please contact me at s.peralta@afcenews.com for more information.

Again, thank you all for your patience and contributions to the site it is my sincere hope that one day we will be used as a got to source for up to date information and community discussions for the teams in the AFC East.
