The draft is over and now it is time to get back in shape! So everyone can follow the action, here are the AFC East team workout schedules:

Mandatory Minicamp: June 17-19

OTA Offseason Workouts: May 27-28, May 30, June 2, June 4-5, June 9-12
Mandatory Minicamp: June 17-19

Not much variation between the teams schedules other than a day or two here and there. Technically no one needs to report until June 17th.

The OTAs will allow teams to assess what holes are remaining prior to training camp beginning in late July or early August. For some teams this will also allow players a chance to get acquainted with new position coaches.

A typical OTA practice will include meetings, special teams work, individual drills, 7-on-7s, 11-on-11s and some heavy weight training work. These workouts and practices will be more important for the younger players, as all teams in the AFC East will have very young squads, particularly the Jets and Patriots. The Jets will be coming off a draft from which they had 12 picks, and the Patriots will have a squad with several undrafted free agents and rookies from both 2013 and 2014 that have seen either very little or no playing time in the NFL. This time is when these roster long-shots need to make their presence known.

Mandatory Minicamp will have a much more preseason feel; starters will begin to slowly get reps and reserves will be pushed into the background. After minicamp, the players have about one more month off and then it’s back to the NFL grind.
