Oakland – Blake Bortles
Altanta is now on the clock. After an extremely disappointing season, the Falcons find themselves in prime position to add talent to their roster. The offense already has the key pieces necessary to be successful, but the defense is in need a major upgrades. Last season the defense ranked 27th in yards allowed per game (21st against the pass, 31st against the run), and second to last in generating sacks.
During free agency Atlanta added Paul Soliai and Tyson Jackson to the defensive line, but much is still needed on defense to become competitive again. A defensive player may not be worthy of the #6 overall pick at this point for the Falcons, so they could upgrade the offensive tackle position with Jake Matthews and Greg Robinson still on the board. Other options would be to stack the WR position with Mike Evans or to replace retired TE Tony Gonzalez with Eric Ebron. CB and S could also be in play now that former starters Asante Samuel and Thomas DeCoud have been released, but selecting either of those positions at this point in the draft would be a reach. Another option would be to add young playmakers like Timmy Jernigan or Aaron Donald to the defensive line.
Who will the Falcons select?
